Hiring-Disability Support Workers

The role of a Support Worker involves being available to work several shift types including early morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, sleepovers, and short shifts, across a number of different Neighborhoods within the community, so flexibility is Integral for this role.
Locations: Perth, Cunderdin and Kojonup
We are looking for people with:

- Ability to work autonomously, and within a team environment
To join the Tunza Care Services Team, you need to have:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (obtained in the last 12 months)
- Current WA C class driver’s licence, and own reliable roadworthy vehicle
- Valid Australian working rights
- Police Clearance less than 12 months
- Comprehensive insured car
- Capacity to meet the physical requirements of the position
Qualifications needed are:
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- First AID and CPR
- Manual Handling
- Medication Competence

3. Assistants in Nursing
SUCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE:
- Previous experience within the Health sector (Aged/ Disability/ Community)
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Current National Police clearance certificate (less than 6 months old)
- Understanding of Medication Management principles and implementation (desirable)
- An understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards (beneficial)
- Working with children check
- Medical competency
- Police clearance
4. Support Workers
Minimum Qualifications Support Worker
- Current First Aid certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- Current Manual Handling certificate
- Hand Hygiene certificate
- Certificate of Completion for NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current Drivers Licence
- Completed online Department of Health COVID-19 infection control training.
- Previous employment in disability or aged care support work will be highly regarded.
- Working with children check
- Medical competency
- Police clearance
Support Worker Requirements
- Care giving experience.
- A client/customer focused approach to service delivery
- That they enjoy communicating with a variety of people and are a good listener
- That they have an excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Flexibility in work hours
- Creativity and a friendly, positive attitude to work and life.
- A high level of initiative and organisational skills with a good attention to detail
- The capacity to adapt to a variety of situations and work as part of a motivated team in a busy environment.
- Good personal presentation
5. Catering Assistants
SUCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE:
- Previous experience within the Health sector (Aged/ Disability/ Community)
- Food Handlers Licence
- Current National Police clearance certificate (less than 6 months old)
- An understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards (beneficial)
- Experience setting up dining and buffet area
- Experience performing basic food preparation taks
- Loading and unloading food and catering supplies
- Answering catering related questions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
